SECURITY

The Wynberg Improvement District provides a 24 hour security patrol of the area and all patrolmen and vehicles are in radio contact with the control room. The control room is operational 24/7 and can be contacted at the phone number 021 762-8016.

In January 2012 a one year project to include an operational Manager and an additional patrol vehicle was introduced. It has worked very well and will continue in 2013.

The mobile security trailer donated by the Western Cape Government’s Community Safety department in 2012 has proved effective in increasing the visible policing of the area.

The operations manager supervises a ‘hands on’ deployment of security patrolmen and cleaners. He also liaises with the various law enforcement agencies and other City service departments and communicates with the Wynberg SAPS.
