SECTOR POLICING

The Wynberg Improvement District falls within Sector 1 (West) of the Wynberg SAPS which currently consists of 5 Sectors.

Each Sector has a dedicated manager (W/O Malcolm Jacobs) and vehicles under the control of the Crime Prevention Unit.

There is also a Sector Forum, The Wynberg West Community Police Sub Forum (chaired by Tim Jackson) consisting of role players from the community; Wynberg Improvement District, Old Wynberg Village Society, Wynberg Haven Night Shelter, Religious organisations.

The purpose of this is the development of community safety guideline plans through addressing crime reports, liquor licences (existing and new applications), second hand dealers, interchange management, street people project, the Wynberg Improvement District, neighborhood watches, etc.
