Dam levels on 11 January 2016 can be viewed at http://www.capetown.gov.za/en/Water/Pages/WeeklyDamLevels.aspx.

Water restrictions only apply to the use of potable water.

The City’s Level 2 Water Restrictions permit residents to water their gardens:

• for 1 hour (60 minutes)
• before 9:00 and after 16:00
• on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Residents who irrigate their gardens using alternative water sources such as grey water or water from natural sources via boreholes, wellpoints and pumps:

• are encouraged to observe the recommended watering hours, and
• must display appropriate signage.

Reporting water leaks and water restriction complaints:

You can report water leaks (such as leaking water pipes, leaking fire hydrants and burst water pipes) and water restriction complaints via the City’s Service Requests webpage.

3. For water restriction complaints select …

4. Identify the property via the street address or locate it on the map, and complete the form.
5. Submit the service request.
